Celebrate Midnight Mass in the caves of Shepherds’ Field; spend a unique Christmas at the very site where the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us. This unique pilgrimage will also study the prophecies of the Old Testament regarding the coming of the Messiah, and how it was fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Day 1 Depart Hong Kong and arrive in Tel Aviv.
Day 2 Visit City of David (Ophel), Hezekiah’s Tunnel & Siloam Pool. (Read the messianic prophecies of Isaiah). Afternoon rest and Midnight Mass at Shepherds’ Field.
Day 3 Visit Bethlehem Basilica and venerate the place where Christ was born. Time allowing, visit also Herodion Fortress where King Herod the Great was buried, and the Kathisma where legend says Mary sat to rest on her way to Bethlehem. Afternoon visit Ein Kerem, birthplace of John the Baptist.
Day 4 Mt. of Olives: Visit the churches of Pater Noster, Dominus Flevit and Gethsemani (study the prophecies on the suffering Messiah)
Day 5 Day trip to the Negev Desert: visit the Nabatean cities Avdat and Mamshit (cf. The Magi / read the prophecy of Balaam)
Day 6 Jerusalem Old City & Southern Wall Excavations. (The Infant Jesus is brought to the Temple and is met by Simeon and Anna; more prophecies on the suffering Messiah)
Day 7 Transfer to Galilee via Dead Sea, Jericho and Wadi Qelt.
Day 8 Retreat in Nazareth. Visit the Annunciation Basilica, the Synagogue Church, Mary’s Well and House of the Holy Family.
Day 9 Visit the Sea of Galilee: Capharnaum, Korazin, Tabgha (“5 loaves & 2 Fish”), Kursi (Geresa): study prophecies on the mission of the Messiah.
Day 10 Visit the Sea of Galilee: Mt. of Beatitudes, Ginnosar “Ancient Boat”, Boat ride in Sea of Galilee. More prophecies on the mission of the Messiah.
Day 11 Visit Ramleh (Arimathea), Jaffa and Kiryat Yearim (“Ark of the Covenant”). Depart Tel Aviv in the late afternoon.
Day 12 Arrival in Hong Kong
