This pilgrimage will help you study the Gospel of John in the light of the Jewish feasts, especially the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot in hebrew).
Day 1 Hong Kong departure and arrival in Tel Aviv.
Day 2 Visit Siloam Pool (Jn 9), St Anne’s Basilica (Sheep Pool cf Jn 5), Bethlehem & Shepherds Fields, Ein Kerem
Day 3 Transfer to Galilee. Visit Cana (Jn 2; 4:46-54) and Samaria (Jn 4 * if possible*).
Day 4 Visit Jordan river (Jn 1), Capharnaum (Jn 6), Chorazin, Gennesaret “Ancient Boat” museum, Tiberias (Jn 6:23)
Day 5 Visit Tabgha “5 loaves and 2 Fishes” church (Jn 6), Primacy of Peter (Jn 21), Mt. of Beatitudes. Boatride on Sea of Galilee (Jn 6:16-21). Visit Kursi.
Day 6 Visit Bethsaida (Jn 1:44; 12:21), Quneitra & Caesarea Philippi.
Day 7 Transfer to Jerusalem. Visit Bethany (Jn 11-12), Betphage (Jn 12) and Pater Noster Church. Walk down Mt. of Olives via Dominus Flevit and Gethsemani (Jn 18).
Day 8 Early morning Way of the Cross (Jn 19). Visit Burnt House and Herodian Quarter (Jn 18), Wailing Wall (for Priestly Blessing “Bircat Cohanim” cf Num 6:22-27) and Southern Wall excavations (Jn 2:13-25; 8, 10, etc). Join in the Feast of Tabernacles (Jn 7). Afternoon visit St. Peter Gallicantu (Jn 18) & Last Supper Room (Jn 13-17).
Day 9 Full day study tour at Neot Kedumim (biblical park): study the history and meaning of the Feast of Tabernacles, eat lunch in a sukkah.
Day 10 Mass at the Holy Sepulcher (Jn 20), then visit Emmaus & Caesarea Maritime. Evening departure for Hong Kong.
Day 11 Arrive Hong Kong.
